Which one is right for you.
Choose Domainee if
- You need an anycast edge in two regions today. Apexly runs in one region, AWS Mumbai.
- You need to upload your own certificates (Domainee offers this on paid plans; Apexly doesn't yet).
- You're migrating many domains at once and want a bulk create endpoint.
- You want to sell domains to your customers through the same API (500+ TLDs).
- You serve a lot of traffic: past 100 GB Domainee charges $0.05 per GB, while Apexly includes 25 GB per 100 domains and then charges $0.15 per GB.
Choose Apexly if
- You want a hosted connect page to send customers to, in your brand colour and logo, or the same flow embedded in your app. Domainee's widget has no theming and there's no hosted page.
- You want a lower price per domain: $0.15 against $0.20, with a $15 minimum.
- You want 20 free domains without entering a card.
- You want DNS checked from three resolvers and CAA checked before a certificate is ordered.
- You want origin health probes and a domain doctor that names the one thing to fix.
- You want HMAC-signed requests to your origin, and 9 webhook events retried 7 times.
